Vibe Magazine
The front cover of Vibe Magazine features the American Rapper named Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. more formerly known by his stage name as T.I.
T.I. is the main image of the magazine with a close up medium shot of him he appears to be rubbing his hands together and staring right at the audience, this is done to convey a menacing and threatening persona as those are the stereotypes to being a rapper in America. The cover lines further support this as they say "people have been comparing me to Tupac..." and "Teenagers marked for death". Also the use of the spotlight on his face is used to capture his facial features as they are the central point of the front cover. He is also covering the masthead 'VIBE', this demonstrates his importance, as the magazine are portraying that he is more important than the magazine itself, however due to 'VIBE' being written in a big bold red text makes it stand out. The main colour scheme of the front cover is red, white and blue. Red is usually a colour associated with danger and trouble this correlates with T.I's threatening stare but Blue is a colour normally associated with feelings of trust and loyalty the magazine have chosen to use this balance of colours to maybe demonstrate that even though rappers have a hard exterior they are really just normal people.
